About us

The Maison des Arts St-Laurent is a private residence belonging to well known journalist Jean Bernard Martin St-Laurent, grand nephew of former Prime Minister of Canada, Louis St-Laurent. He was born and grew up in Compton in a remarkable house, a mid 18th century Porch House in the heart of the village.

Bernard and his wife Patricia Pleszczynska, have created a beautiful gallery and open space in the house which they share with the community by hosting regular cultural activities and curating art exhibits with the goal of highlighting the artists in the region and enriching the life in this vibrant agriculural community .
